I know this is my second post of the day, but I'm just so happy right now!
First off, my YSA ward is incredible! We had a ward BBQ on Monday and it was so much fun to hang out and get to know people! I have made more friends in these first weeks than I did last semester! While at the BBQ, they had a softball game going on. Madi and I cheered and pumped up each team when they came off the field. (She did most of it, I just joined in and smacked the fence.) Then they switched to kickball. During the kickball game, a few of us went on our 1st councilors 4-wheeler. I thought I was going to die. Jon, a guy in the ward, was driving and it was his first time, so Madi was talking him through it. He really enjoyed pushing it to go fast, and then slowing to a crawl when we would turn. Luckily, I survived and received no injuries. Most people had left by then, so the few remaining played Bocce ball! Seriously, I love my ward!
Yesterday was alright, not as fantastic as it could have been, but still decent. Today, on the other hand, was GREAT! I went to my one class, then hung out in the MC and did homework. I then came home and watched Ten Things I hate About You while cleaning for clean checks. After all that, I went to the gym and my apartment and elliptical-ed it up! I then took a well deserved shower, where I noticed that I have a stinging area on my head. :( I'm hoping it's just a sun burn... although I don't know how I would have gotten it.
I just got home from an Involvement meeting, where I had such a great time! I was able to meet more people and get to know the ones I already knew. We didn't do anything too exciting, but I had such a great time and felt so loved. During our discussion, many talked about how they had found their 'people'. I feel like I have too. I don't know them all that well, but I feel as if I have found a group of people who are interested in the same things as me.
BYU-I is such a great place!! I am so glad to be at this incredible school full of so much! I feel that there is so much to be discovered and explored. I am very happy with things and hopefully, more great things will come! :)
