One Week Down

My first week is done! It's been a good week and I really enjoy my classes.
My great books class is incredible and my professor really knows what her's talking about.
I'm really enjoying my Book of Mormon class and my professor is also awesome.
The professor for my public speaking class  is really nice, but he had a health condition, which makes me nervous.
My science teacher is really good as well and makes the class actually bearable.
And as for child development class, she's a riot!
I feel really lucky this semester to have incredible teachers. I'm really excited to see how the semester progresses.
It was pretty weird going to devotional and not sitting with Tay and his friends.. Like, really weird. It's funny because I'll be walking out of a class and I'll go to text him and see where he is... then I remember he's 900 miles away.. whoops. ;)
Yesterday was very much a lazy day. I woke up at 9:40 and then showered, after laying in bed for about half an hour. I then read for most of the morning. I am borrowing The Fault in our Stars by John Greene from one of my roommates, Rebecca. It's pretty much amazing. I have yet to finish it, but I am almost done.
In the afternoon, Sydney and I went grocery shopping, and I'm quite excited that I now have good food. Then, at 8, Sydney, Anna, Erica, and I went to the sand dunes in St. Anthony with Sydney's cousin and her friends. It was so much fun! It took us a some time to find it, but we eventually arrived. (Thank you smart phones!) It was incredible! There's SO much sand! I thought is was just a few dunes of sand, but no, it's pretty much a beach, with out the ocean. So lots of sand. It was awesome! I still have some sand in my mouth that I crunch down on every once in awhile. haha
Today is Sunday and I'm excited to go to church! My ward is pretty cool. And my Bishopric is REALLY cool!
While being here at BYU-Idaho, I can't help but think of how blessed I am. Honestly, I don't know where I would be without the gospel of Christ. When I was sitting in my Book of Mormon class on Friday, I was overcome with the Spirit and I knew I am where I'm supposed to be. Gratitude overcame me, and I thought about the immensity of the gospel. We have three huge, and well known, church schools. We have publishing companies that distribute books and magazines. We have a TV channel.  We have temples all over the world. We have an award winning choir. We have a living prophet. How wonderful is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!
BYUI is incredible.. not only do I get to learn about science and history, but I get to learn about how the church plays into it. Where else do you get that?
I can't tell you how much I love this school and the gospel.

What joy this sentence gives: I know that my Redeemer lives.
